CTP Classico Vinyls

  • Composition: PVC 86% / Cotton 14%
  • Weight: 725g/m2
  • Roll Width: 137cm
  • Roll Length: 30m (nominal)
  • Abrasion Resistance: >100,000+ cycles
  • Flame Retardancy: BS EN1021-1: 1994 (Ignition Source - Smouldering Cigarette) / EN1020-2: 1994 (Ignition Source – Match Equivalent) / BS 5852: 1990 Section 4: Ignition Source 5 (Wood Crib) / BS 7176: 1995 Medium Hazard (Crib 5) / IMO Fire Test Procedure Code, Annex 1, Part 8
  • Antimicrobial: The vinyl surface on the Classico Collection is coated with PERMABLOK3®- an advanced vinyl protection from Spradling International. PERMABLOK3® is a proven vinyl protective coating that has been designed to create a tough, effective barrier against three major problems in the education, healthcare and hospitality environments – germs, abrasion and stains. PERMABLOK3® not only guards against stains, abrasion damage and the surface growth of fungus, mould and mildew spores, it also provides superior antimicrobial and antibacterial protection by resisting gram negative and gram positive bacteria (including MRSA), filamentous fungi and yeast.
  • Care & Maintenance: Vinyl fabrics treated with PERMABLOK3® require minimum maintenance to retain their good looks. The vinyl surfaces can be cleaned using a damp, soapy cloth or sponge, and then rinsed with cold water and wiped dry. Spills and accidents require immediate attention for best results. In many cases, stains such as coffee, tea, cocoa, ketchup and blood, may be cleaned simply with warm water alone. Stains from chemical colourings such as ballpoint pens, dyes and food colourings should be cleaned off as soon as possible to avoid long-term staining. If the stain is allowed to set, more concentrated cleaners may be required. Generally speaking, always start with the mildest cleaning agents first. Never use harsh powdered abrasive cleaners or steel wool.

  • Antimicrobial: Sierra+ now has antimicrobial and antibacterial protection that resists gram negative and gram positive bacteria (including MRSA), filamentous fungi and yeast.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance: Sierra+ contract vinyls are resistant to most alkalis, mild acids, drinks and common stains but it is advisable to clean them regularly to maintain their smart appearance and prevent build-up of residue. The surface of the vinyls can be cleaned using a damp, soapy cloth, and then rinsed with cold water and wiped dry. For more stubborn stains a soft brush with soapy water can be used, again rinsing with cold water and wiping dry. Disinfectants can be used in dilution as specified by the manufacturer. Stains from chemical colourings such as ballpoint pens, dyes and food colourings should be cleaned off as soon as possible to avoid long-term staining. • Recommended Cleaning:
-Wipe clean regularly with a damp microfiber cloth and water to remove dust particles and prevent build up of soiling. Clean regularly with a damp cloth to remove dust particles and light soiling.
-Remove spillages promptly with an absorbent dry cloth.
-For general soiling, use a soft brush/microfiber cloth taking care to avoid abrasive damage to surface and use tepid soapy water 9non-alkaline). Rinse clean with water and dry with an absorbent cloth.
-Bodily fluids should be removed promptly (within 15 minutes) with cold water and then cleansed as above.
-Steam cleaning is an effective sanitizer but is not a good cleaner. Cleaning with a microfiber cloth and water is more effective. Steam and heat from steam cleaners actually seal oily residues from bodily fluids, etc. If steam cleaning is essential, use infrequently for emergency infection control purposes only and in accordance with the machine manufacturer’s recommendations. As we are unable to comment on the variety of machines in the marketplace or on the operator’s handling, care should be taken for the sake of both the upholstery fabric and the wooden frame and we are unable to guarantee these.
-Do not machine wash or dry clean.
-Do not use furniture polish, stain remover or solvents.

  • Care & Maintenance: Regular maintenance with a vacuum and a damp cloth is essential to ensure the longevity of the fabric and failure to adopt this policy or deal with spillages or accidents quickly could have a detrimental effect on the appearance and performance of the fabric, for which we cannot be held liable. We do not recommend the use of any detergent solutions as this may be detrimental to the stain repellent properties of the fabric. Most substances can be removed from the fabric easily, quickly and permanently if action is taken immediately. In most cases dabbing or gently wiping with a warm moist cloth will be sufficient. For more stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive warm water or steam cleaning machine, which should dissolve the stain and remove any soiling.

-Extreme soiling/infection control purposes use a 5% sodium hypochlorite (bleach) solution, Haz Tabs or Chlor-Clean.
-Steam cleaning is an effective sanitizer (as are Haz Tabs and Chlor-Clean) but is not a good cleaner.
-Remove indigo dye from denim and canvas garments immediately. Dye/inks will produce permanent staining if not dealt with promptly.
